Development Associates, Inc. (ADA, Inc.) is a company that specializes in
providing a range of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) consulting
services to business, education, government and other public or privately
owned entities. |

|
These
services concentrate on providing architectural, programmatic and attitudinal
access to individuals with disabilities, and in assisting these organizations
in their efforts to comply with the ADA and other relevant Federal, State or
local disability-related anti discrimination laws. With
more than 20 years of organizational and technical experience, ADA, Inc.
offers an in-depth working knowledge of the regulations and a strong
personal, hands-on perspective. ADA,
Inc.'s professionals recommend a range of common sense, cost-effective and
creative steps for barrier removal and compliance with the regulations. Staffed and governed by people with
disabilities gives credibility, but also directly correlates to Congress’
intent to include individuals with disabilities as integral players in the
barrier removal process. ADA,
Inc. was created in 1992 as the wholly-owned for profit subsidiary of Three
Rivers Center for Independent Living (TRCIL), a private non-profit agency
that provides services to individuals with disabilities. In August 1998, the staff of ADA, Inc.
purchased majority ownership of the company (51%) from TRCIL. The
Pennsylvania Department of General Services certifies the company as a Women
Business Enterprise (WBE) and the company is currently completing the Unified
Certification application. Since
1992, the staff of Accessibility Development Associates, Inc. has provided
ADA technical assistance to more than 300 clients within the corporate,
business, government, educational, cultural, design, entertainment and
non-profit communities. We have
performed more than 7,500 ADA facility reviews/evaluations. Clients have ranged from small private
business, to large institutions such as the City of Pittsburgh, Trizec Hahn,
The Pittsburgh Zoo, Carnegie Mellon University, Blockbuster, Philip Morris
Management Corporation, The Pittsburgh Pirates, the Pennsylvania Department
of Revenue/PA Lottery and the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. National clients have included the State of
Kansas, Eckerd Corporation, REI, Office Max, John Carroll University and the
